When it comes to accommodation, 9 times out of 10 I either book with Booking.com or Airbnb.com.

  • Booking.com is usually the cheapest for hotels and hostels.
  • Airbnb is great for finding apartments to rent & short-term rooms to rent.

  1. Hi –

Looking at relocation to the Algarve this coming fall (November/Dec) and interested in knowing about to find affordable off-season rentals, especially in the Carvoeiro/Lagoa area.

    • Hi mrz1342,

I didn’t fully understand your question. Do you mean what’s the best startup to work for in Portugal, or what’s the best type of business to start in Portugal?

In either case, it’s very subjective and I don’t think there’s a simple answer.

  2. Hi we are hoping to retire next year to Portugal and am hoping you could give me some links of agents for long term accommodation for 2+ bedroomed houses near the coast
    Many thanks
