If you’re visiting Lagos, the last thing you want to do is drag your suitcases and backpacks around the town. While Lagos is reasonably flat (there are some hills), the streets are cobbled and uneven, which isn’t ideal for wheeled suitcases. And then there’s the heat and crowds of tourists as well, all of which make dragging luggage around the city very unappealing.

Thankfully, there are one or two luggage storage options in Lagos. So if you’re arriving before you can check into your Airbnb or you’re spending the day before heading to Faro Airport or somewhere else, there are places where you can drop your bag, leaving you free to relax and explore.

As always, luggage storage apps like Bounce and Luggage Hero are always worth looking at. These apps allow you to store your bags at local cafes, restaurants, and shops, which is ideal for places that don’t have left luggage storage options at the local bus or train station.

Bounce seems to be the best app, with more than 10 different luggage storage options. This includes several spots which stay open to midnight or beyond – perfect if you want to head to a restaurant or bar. Luggage Hero and Nanny Bag also had some listings, but not as many.

Besides the luggage storage apps, there are one or two places where you can store your bags in Lagos.

Coast Supply

Coast supply is a surf shop in the centre of Lagos that offers luggage storage as one of their services. At less than €1 per hour, this is a very affordable option.

Another option is to ask your hotel or Airbnb. These days, most hotels will let you leave a bag at reception, but this isn’t always an option in an Airbnb as they don’t have reception areas.
