Property portal BuyProperty.com has been discontinued, with founder and frontman Scott Kirk confirming he will continue to offer a buyer’s-agent service through Visas.pt, including free consultations for people looking to purchase in Portugal.
“It is a shame to say goodbye,” Kirk said. “However, we will continue offering the same service as before. We are also combining our visas service — our full-service package offers a property search option and we can reduce visa fees if combined with a big enough property purchase.”
The move comes in a crowded Portuguese property-search market dominated by large portals such as Idealista and Imovirtual, which consistently rank as the country’s most-visited real-estate sites.
BuyProperty.com built a following by surfacing agent-level market intelligence on listings — such as time-on-market, price changes, and area comparisons — insights it promoted as “data once exclusive to agents.”
For buyers: where to go now
- Book a free consult: Visas.pt’s booking page lists a 15-minute video consultation and lets you choose a Real Estate Expert. (Visas Client)
- Combine visa + property support: Visas.pt’s Complete Visa Assistance Plus includes a Property Finder add-on for clients who want end-to-end help. (Visas.pt)
